Consultation

Dr. Calobrace, Dr. Quintero, or one of our cosmetic nurse consultants will speak with you about your cosmetic goals. You will be examined, and a plan will be formulated about how to achieve your new look. We believe you need to be well-informed about the actual process of preparing for and recovering from cosmetic or reconstructive plastic surgery in Louisville.

3D Imaging

Computer imaging can aid in your decision and be a useful informational tool for breast, face, body, and injectable procedures at our Louisville practice.

Pre-procedure photographs will be taken of you at your consultation or pre-operative appointment, and post-procedure photos will be taken at a post-operative follow-up appointment after your healing process.

Education

Brochures and information packets are available to take with you in our lobby. Before-and-after photograph books and computer imaging are also available and can be very helpful in illustrating the results of previous patients. Many of our staff members have had cosmetic procedures, and you may talk to them about their experiences and feelings about their results.

Cost/Timing

You will briefly meet with one of our Surgery Scheduling Coordinators to discuss fees and costs. If you have a specific date in mind, we will do our best to accommodate your schedule. A deposit of 20% of your surgeon’s fee is required to schedule a specific date and guarantee it for your surgery. If you have a date in mind now, we encourage you to call our Surgery Scheduling Coordinator now and book your date, even before your consultation. If you are still in the information-gathering phase, she will make sure all of your questions are answered.

Further Consultation

Your consultation includes a second visit if you have further questions for the physician or any member of our staff. You will always meet with the physician at your preoperative visit to make final plans for your Louisville and Lexington area plastic surgery.

We maintain the highest standards for outpatient accreditation through the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). Accreditation by the AAAASF is considered the “gold standard” for outpatient surgical centers. This voluntary accreditation demonstrates that our entire staff and our surgical facility itself meet 100% of this private organization’s rigorous standards—ensuring our patients’ safety in the OR.

Comfort

For patients undergoing certain procedures, we offer Pro-Nox™, a self-administered nitrous oxide system. Nitrous oxide, a colorless, odorless gas, has been used in medical settings for decades to reduce feelings of anxiety and discomfort during noninvasive procedures and minor surgeries. Pro-Nox is unique because it allows you to control how much of the gas you inhale. Nitrous oxide, commonly called “laughing gas,” is safe, non-addictive, and clears out of your body quickly, allowing you to drive home from your visit without wooziness. If you’re anxious about medical procedures or worried about pain, Pro-Nox may be a good option for you.
